Connect a custom shop domain

Serve your hosted Kadova shop on shop.yourdomain.com instead of the platform path.

When to use this

A custom shop domain lets customers open your hosted Kadova shop on your own hostname, e.g. shop.yourcompany.com. This is different from embed domains (iframe on your existing site).

Requirements

  1. Hosted shop channel enabled (not link-only or embed-only).
  2. Custom domain entitlement: included on Enterprise, €19/month on Starter/Professional while active.
  3. DNS access at your registrar.

Steps

  1. Go to Webshop → Settings → Custom shop domain.
  2. Enter the hostname (prefer a subdomain).
  3. Add the shown TXT and CNAME/ALIAS records at your DNS provider.
  4. Click Check DNS until status is Active.
  5. Test checkout and emails on the new domain; the platform path (/shop/slug) remains as fallback.

Common issues

  • DNS not visible yet — TTL can take up to 24 hours; check hostname typos.
  • Setup taking longer — TLS via Render may take a few minutes after correct DNS.
  • Embed vs custom — embed uses allowed domains; custom domain natively hosts the shop on your hostname.
