Integrations and API

Connect WooCommerce to Kadova

Sell and redeem Kadova gift cards in your WooCommerce store.

Quick answer

Install the Kadova WooCommerce extension, paste your API credentials, and complete go-live checks. A connection test alone is not production-ready.

Who does what

| Role | Owns |

|------|------|

| You (Kadova) | Store ID, API key create/rotate, go-live sign-off |

| WP admin / agency | Plugin install, WooCommerce → Kadova settings, staging tests |

| Hosting / IT | Cron, backups, plugin updates |

Steps

  1. Open Webshop → Shop channel and run the WooCommerce wizard (prerequisites → store → plugin → key → config → go-live).
  2. The API key is a server-side secret (shown once). Paste only in WooCommerce → Kadova — never in themes, browser JS, or tickets.
  3. The configuration package includes API URL, store ID, and plugin version — not the secret key.
  4. Enable gift-card products and checkout redemption in WooCommerce.
  5. Place staging test orders (see go-live below).

Go-live (more than connection OK)

Confirm on staging at least:

  1. Test sale (issue after payment)
  2. Full redemption (code + PIN)
  3. Partial payment (gift card + PSP)
  4. PSP fail → release (no capture)
  5. Cancel/refund → reverse
  6. Zero-total (gift card only) → single capture

Expected outcome

Online sales and redemptions sync with your Kadova ledger; dashboard shows connection OK and full checkout tested.

Common issues

  • Checkout error — verify SSL on your shop and that the API key is not revoked.
  • Cards not redeeming — enable redemption in plugin settings and clear cache.
  • On-hold after capture failure — run Kadova reconcile; verify PSP state before moving the order.
